I have been working with Patti since the start of the year. I experienced a big trauma in my life and Patti was there to teach me how to cope with grief and work through day to day challenges. She taught me how to deal with difficult situations and how to really love what I have. I never thought I was the type of person who would need counselling or therapy, but I am so glad I did this. If I meet people who are having a hard time in life, however big or small, I can draw on what I have learnt from Patti and support them. For me, a counselling session is a target to look forward to knowing that I come away from it a stronger person.
Anyone out there who is thinking twice about getting support I would say go for it, you can say what you want and someone is there to listen. I used to think people who talked about looking after your mental health, self-care, being in the moment, etc where all just using buzz words but I have come to realise just how important these things are in life.
I know the future still holds many challenges but thanks to Patti I am in a position to know how to deal with these and know that I am in control of how I live my life.
